‘Barbie’ Star Dua Lipa Brings Feathered Drama to Chanel’s Front Row in a Flaming Red Floral Look

Few stars have a relationship with Chanel quite like Dua Lipa’s. The singer is the face of the Chanel 25 handbag, a regular in the house’s front rows and, as of this summer, a Chanel bride, having worn a custom Chanel Haute Couture gown for her Italian wedding celebration with Callum Turner.

That wedding gown was a feathered masterpiece in its own right. Handcrafted at the house’s ateliers on Rue Cambon, it featured 480,000 hand-embroidered beads, trompe l’oeil jeweled details that took 1,155 hours to create, and a 2-metre train finished with 25,000 feathers.

So it was only fitting that feathers took center stage again when Lipa returned to Chanel this week. The 31-year-old attended the house’s Spring/Summer 2027 show at the Grand Palais on Monday, October 5, in a striking red and pink floral ensemble trimmed with dramatic feathers.

Lipa wore Look 56 from Chanel’s Cruise 2026/27 collection, a coordinated set covered in graphic floral details in shades of red and pink. Red feathered trims cascaded down the center, while soft white feather accents added texture across the bodice and skirt.

The midi skirt was finished with a high slit, and she carried a pearl-embellished handbag. Lipa kept her beauty look sleek, with her dark hair slicked back, rosy blush, glowing skin, and pink lips that echoed the floral palette.

The feathered details felt especially fitting for the occasion. According to Vogue, birds soaring above the Grand Palais served as a central inspiration for the collection. Chanel transformed the Grand Palais into a surreal landscape of birds, moonlight and color for the show. The collection featured feathers, bird-shaped jewelry and nest-like elements throughout.

Artistic director Matthieu Blazy also returned to the house’s roots. The lineup referenced the early Chanel wardrobe, including jersey and relaxed proportions, before arriving at the more recognizable tailored jackets and suits. Lipa was in excellent company. Nicole Kidman sat between Lipa and ‘Euphoria’ star Alexa Demie, with Pedro Pascal also joining the row.

Lipa and Demie brought the most color to the front row. Demie wore a shiny red mini skirt suit made from a version of Chanel’s signature quilted handbag fabric, while Olivia Wilde and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley were also among the guests. The front row quickly became a viral moment of its own. The group joined a TikTok trend set to ADÉLA’s song “Nicole Kidman,” with Kidman herself taking part.

Lipa has been steadily experimenting with the house’s codes. At Chanel’s Haute Couture show in January, she worked with stylist Lorenzo Posocco to wear Look 14 from Blazy’s Métiers d’Art Spring 2026 collection, choosing to wear the jacket on its own to spotlight the tailoring.

This latest appearance shows a bolder, more playful side. Pairing romantic florals with dramatic feathers, Lipa once again proved she knows how to make a Chanel look feel entirely her own.

She was also spotted leaving her hotel in Paris during the week. Between front-row moments and her recent European travels, Lipa continues to be one of fashion month’s most-watched guests.
