Battlefield 6 has made a huge splash in the gaming world, selling 7 million copies in just its first three days. This marks the biggest launch in the history of the franchise, according to a press release from EA.

Battlefield boss Vince Zampella celebrated the milestone, saying, “We never take moments like this for granted, so I want to express our sincere gratitude to our global Battlefield Studios and passionate community that has helped get us to this point. We appreciate you joining us for Battlefield 6’s momentous launch. We have so much more to come in the weeks ahead.”

The game’s opening weekend also saw players engaging heavily online. Fans played over 172 million matches and watched more than 15 million hours of gameplay streams.

On Steam, Battlefield 6 reached 747,440 peak concurrent players, while Sony and Microsoft have not released their numbers.

Battlefield 6 launched on October 10 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Since release, the BF Studios team has been quick to roll out hotfixes, responding to player feedback as the community rapidly grew.

The next big update is Season 1, set to launch on October 28. It will add the Rogue Ops mode, a new map called Blackwell Fields, and a 4v4 mode.

This successful launch marks a major rebound for the franchise after the mixed reception of Battlefield 2042. With Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 set to release on November 14, Battlefield 6’s strong start could ramp up the competition for gamers this holiday season.

The numbers are impressive, and the upcoming content will likely keep players engaged. What do you think about Battlefield 6 breaking records so fast? Share your thoughts in the comments.
