‘Baywatch’ Reboot Cast Expands With 14 New Stars as 2 Original Actors Return to Reprise Iconic Roles
The upcoming Baywatch reboot is moving forward quickly, with production already underway for more than a month. New details have now been shared about the cast, including returning stars and a large group of new additions.
The reboot brings back the world of beach rescue teams, but with a new generation at the center. The story follows Hobie Buchannon, who is now a Baywatch captain. His life changes when he discovers he has a daughter, Charlie, who arrives wanting to join the lifeguard team and continue the family tradition. At the same time, Cody Madison, a familiar name from the original series, now runs a beach bar and still occasionally returns to lifeguard duty while mentoring younger members of the team.
Several key names have been confirmed for the series, including actors from the original Baywatch. Erika Eleniak is returning as Shauni McClain. In this new version, her character has moved into public service as a city councilwoman but comes back to the beach for a major event involving lifeguard competitions.
David Chokachi is also returning as Cody Madison. His character now runs a beachside bar and grill and continues to stay connected to the lifeguard community while offering support and guidance.
Stephen Amell leads the new cast as Hobie Buchannon. The character, originally connected to David Hasselhoff’s Mitch Buchannon, is now in charge of the Baywatch team and dealing with leadership responsibilities while facing personal challenges.
Jessica Belkin plays Charlie Vale, Hobie’s daughter, who arrives from a difficult background and tries to prove herself as part of the lifeguard team.
Hassie Harrison joins as Nat, a highly skilled and disciplined lifeguard who also acts as a close partner and trusted ally to Hobie.
Thaddeus LaGrone appears as Brad, a former Marine who is strong and experienced but must learn to work within a team environment rather than alone.
Brooks Nader plays Selene, the captain of a rival lifeguard group, bringing tension and competition into the story.
Noah Beck joins as Luke, a young rookie lifeguard and surfer from a firefighting family, who looks up to Hobie as a mentor.
Shay Mitchell appears as Trina, a former lawyer who chose to become a full-time lifeguard and brings intelligence and emotional depth to the team.
Livvy Dunne has a recurring role as Grace, a junior lifeguard who is energetic and eager to learn.
Ashley Moore plays Jasmine, a rookie lifeguard known for her confidence and strong attitude during emergencies.
Kylar Miranda joins as Diego, an experienced lifeguard and the team’s handyman.
Luke Eisner appears as Koya, a rookie lifeguard and close friend of Luke, with a more layered personality than he first shows.
Nadia Gray plays Lisa, an EMT who works closely with the lifeguard team and builds strong personal connections with them.
Charlie McElveen joins as Ethan, a lawyer connected to Trina’s past, who questions her decision to leave her old career behind.
Eric Roberts is also set to appear in a guest role, although details about his character have not been fully revealed. He was seen filming rescue scenes with the cast.
The series is being run by Matt Nix, while McG is directing the first episode. It has been ordered for 12 episodes and is expected to premiere during the 2026–2027 season on Fox.
With both returning cast members and a long list of new faces, the reboot is building a mix of nostalgia and fresh storytelling as it brings Baywatch back to television.
It will be interesting to see how this mix of old and new characters works together on screen. Reboots often struggle to balance nostalgia with modern updates, but this cast gives the show a strong foundation.
