Beckinsale Shares Wild Story: Daughter’s Boyfriend “Laid Two Eggs”
Kate Beckinsale shared a strange and unexpected story during her visit to Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Nov. 24, and it quickly became the moment everyone remembered from the interview.
The actress opened up about something unusual involving her daughter Lily Mo Sheen’s boyfriend, explaining that the odd incident gave her a rare bit of humor during a difficult period in her life. The story came directly from Beckinsale as she spoke with host Jimmy Kimmel.
Beckinsale said the last few years had been hard for her, especially after losing both of her parents. While talking about that time, she told Kimmel that something surprising involving her daughter’s boyfriend made her laugh when she needed it most.
She told the host, “He laid two eggs in a week is what the bright spot was.” Kimmel immediately asked what she meant, and Beckinsale explained that the man found something shaped like a full egg after using the bathroom, complete with what looked like a shell and yolk.
According to Beckinsale, the boyfriend had no idea what was happening and was scared by the situation. She said she became very involved because the strange moment distracted her during a painful time. Beckinsale also said her daughter sent her photos when it happened again, and she showed the pictures to Kimmel and Guillermo Rodriguez during the show.
Kimmel reacted with surprise and joked, “Your daughter’s boyfriend is the Easter Bunny!” Beckinsale then said she had reached out to doctors to understand how something like that could occur. She shared that the doctors she spoke to suggested it might have been connected to “some sort of complicated m*st*rb*ti*n thing.”

Despite how bizarre the story was, Beckinsale said she appreciated the distraction and admitted she liked the boyfriend even more after the incident. She ended the story by joking, “So, it’s my favorite thing he’s ever done, and I really like him. But it’s been a while, and I’m ready for another one.”
