Bella Ramsey Reportedly Interested in Portraying Joan of Arc in Baz Luhrmann’s Upcoming Film

Baz Luhrmann has chosen his next movie. He will direct a film called Jehanne d’Arc for Warner Bros. The movie will tell the story of Joan of Arc, a brave teenage girl who became a hero in France. She helped lead the French army to a big win in 1429. Just two years later, in 1431, she was burned at the stake.

While the casting call was originally expected to go out in September of last year, there have been few updates since then about the film or who might take on the lead role.

However, notable industry insider Daniel Richtman recently shared on his Patreon that The Last of Us star Bella Ramsey is interested in portraying Joan of Arc.

It’s important to note that this information has not been confirmed by official sources and remains a rumor at this stage.

Bella Ramsey is certainly on a winning streak. Over the past decade, the actress has built a strong reputation through her roles in several popular series. She first rose to fame as Lyanna Mormont in Game of Thrones, and has since appeared in numerous short films and television shows.

Ramsey is currently starring as Ellie in HBO’s hit adaptation of The Last of Us.
