Taking place in a world with an isometric perspective, Scurge: Hive follows the protagonist Jenosa Arma, who is a bounty huntress. Her mission is to find and eliminate a parasitic lifeform called the “Scurge.”

The Scurge is an alien entity capable of rapidly adapting to and infecting biological, mechanical, and digital systems, including Jenosa herself, which is why the danger is so palpable. In the game, Jenosa Arma will meet and fight different iterations of the Scurge virus, all while racing against time before the Scurge takes over her body as well.

As said, the game was a solid hit back in 2006, which is why its revival will make a lot of fans happy:

This retro classic is thus coming to the PC, as well as the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and the Xbox Series X. Players can expect the original feel of the game, but they will now get to experience it from a modern perspective.

A release date hasn’t been specified, but Ratalaika Games stated that it would be released “soon.”
