Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson & Robert De Niro Will Be Joined by a Surprising New Face in Wild ‘Meet the Parents’ 4 Comeback

Owen Wilson is stepping back into one of his most popular roles. According to The Hollywood Reporter, he’s returning for Meet the Parents 4, the next chapter in the well-known comedy series.

He’ll be joining Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro, who are also coming back for the new film. Teri Polo, who played Stiller’s wife in the earlier movies, is returning too. The big surprise this time? Pop star Ariana Grande is joining the cast.

The new movie is coming from Universal Pictures and is set to hit theaters on November 25, 2026. Paramount Pictures will be handling international release. John Hamburg, who helped write the earlier movies, is back as writer and director. He’s also working behind the scenes as one of the producers.

The Meet the Parents series started in 2000. The first movie introduced us to Greg Focker, played by Ben Stiller, and his awkward attempts to win over his girlfriend’s tough dad, played by Robert De Niro.

The second movie, Meet the Fockers, brought in more family members, including Greg’s parents played by Dustin Hoffman and Barbra Streisand. The third movie, Little Fockers, focused more on Greg and his family life as a dad.

Owen Wilson had a memorable role in the first film as Kevin, the charming ex-boyfriend of Teri Polo’s character. He was rich, polite, good at everything, and clearly a favorite of her parents. He came back for the sequels in smaller scenes. Now, Wilson is returning to play Kevin again.

Right now, we don’t know the full plot of the new movie, but The Hollywood Reporter says that a big part of the story will focus on the grown-up son of Greg and Pam. Their son is engaged to someone who doesn’t seem like a good match. That fiancée will be played by Ariana Grande.

The movie has a long list of producers, including Jane Rosenthal and Robert De Niro from Tribeca Productions. Jay Roach, who directed the earlier films, is also producing. Ben Stiller is producing as well, along with John Lesher and John Hamburg.

Owen Wilson hasn’t been seen on the big screen since 2023’s Haunted Mansion, which didn’t do so well at the box office. But people still remember him as Mobius from the Marvel series Loki, where he returned for season two in 2023.

Right now, he’s starring in the Apple TV+ series Stick, which is getting strong reviews. Hamburg directed the last two episodes of Stick, which helped lead to Wilson’s return for the new Meet the Parents film.

There’s still a lot to learn about the movie, but fans of the old series will be happy to see the original cast getting back together.
