After a misunderstanding later that day, when Taiga smuggles a heartfelt love letter into the wrong pocket, she and Ryuuji discover their crush.

In an attempt to get Taiga to get back home, Ryuuji promises to “do everything” to bring Taiga closer to his crush, sparking a one-sided association with Taiga treating Ryuuji like a slave and calling him a dog. Eventually, his entire class suspects Ryuuji and Taiga are dating, including his crushes, Minori Kushieda and Yusaku Kitamura.

Taiga decides to dispel these rumors by confessing to Yusaku on occasion. When this fails, Ryuuji begins calling Taiga by her first name to continue helping her. Taiga’s reaction to Ami Kawashima’s contact with Ryuuji as the two were walking home, which resulted in her throwing a trash can at Ami, is the first sign that she is falling in love with Ryuuji. This becomes more evident during the swim race with Ami – during the race, Ryuuji had come to Taiga’s rescue after suffering a calf cramp while swimming.

After she lets them continue swimming, several boys are pushed into the pool and fall on Ryuuji, causing him to drown. Still, Taiga saves him, berating the others for not paying attention and shouting that Ryuuji is hers, though she clarifies it later. Friend that Ryuuji is his dog. While at Ami’s beach house, Taiga Ryuuji confesses that her dream of marrying her wasn’t as bad as it seemed.

1. Naruto Uzumai and Hinata Hyūga

Franchise: Naruto

Naruto wakes up to see Sakura severely weakened due to helping him recover, realizing that Hinata truly loves him. Afterward, Naruto and the others head to Toneri’s moon base. Meanwhile, at Toneri’s palace, Toneri asks Hinata to knit him a red scarf and marry him. But in reality, Hinata only accepts Toneri’s proposal to destroy the Tenseigan altar, since Toneri has misunderstood the Heavenly Decree.

Unfortunately, before Hinata can do so, Toneri realizes the deception, brainwashes her, and destroys the scarf she had actually made for Naruto. Naruto’s team finally arrives and begins a massive attack on Toneri’s palace. The team splits up, Naruto going to rescue Hinata at the ceremony, while the others go after Hanabi. Hinata, with the help of Naruto, manages to destroy the altar.

However, Toneri’s already prepared Tenseigan grants him the power to slice the moon in half and places Hinata in a giant bird cage. Naruto goes into nine-tails mode, and the big fight begins. Near the end, Naruto grabs the last remaining shred of the scarf and gathers his chakra into his right arm dealing a heavy blow to Toneri, enough to pin him against a wall, reverting his Tenseigan back to Hanabi’s Byakugan.

Hinata takes the opportunity to get her sister’s eyes back from him. Toneri does not give up and tries to absorb the Byakugan from the shrine from him, but the exposure to sunlight is about to destroy him, luckily Naruto saves him and in the process, they manage to stop the moon. Naruto and Hinata take Toneri to the graveyard where the other members of his clan are buried, and make him realize that what he is doing is not what his ancestor wanted.

Toneri realizes his mistake and remains isolated on the moon as he returns to orbit. Naruto tells Hinata that the scarf he already had before was from his late mother, so he confesses his love for Hinata, and the two kiss. During the end credits, cutscenes show Naruto and Hinata’s wedding, attended by their friends and family. In a post-credits scene, set around the time of the series’ epilogue, the pair play with their children, Boruto and Himawari.
