V joins Sailor Moon’s team, however, she adopts the battle name “Sailor Venus”.

As the series progresses, it is discovered that the reason Minako can transform in this way is because she is actually the reincarnation of Sailor Venus, a Sailor Senshi-type warrior who hailed from the planet Venus and protected the princess of an ancient kingdom called the Silver Millennium in her past life.

On the other hand, while in the manga and anime she is only portrayed as a teenager who dreams of becoming a famous singer, in the live-action series version, in contrast, her character was redesigned to already be (from the beginning) a young celebrity.
