Billie Eilish has never been quiet about what she believes in, and this time she is calling out other famous people for staying silent.

The singer, who is 24, often uses her platform to talk about political and social issues. In the past, she has spoken about billionaires, Palestine, and climate justice. More recently, she has been vocal about the actions of ICE, especially in Minnesota.

In 2026, Billie received the MLK Jr. Beloved Community Environmental Justice Award from the King Center. During her speech, she criticized what is happening in the United States without directly naming ICE. She talked about how the country feels right now and said that neighbors [were] being kidnapped, peaceful protesters being assaulted and murdered. She was referring to the killing of Renee Good in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Footage and reports from local news and witnesses were widely shared online at the time.

After another deadly incident involving ICE, Billie spoke up again. At a protest in Minnesota, 37-year-old VA nurse Alex Pretti was shot and killed by ICE agents. The shooting caused outrage online, especially after videos from witnesses appeared to contradict the official response from the Trump administration. Information about the shooting spread through social media videos and reporting from people who were at the scene.

Following Pretti’s death, Billie used her Instagram Story to criticize celebrities who had not said anything. She shared a reel that called Pretti a real American hero. She later reposted an image that read, “I don’t do politics” Ok, well you’re a fully grown adult so maybe it’s time to start. Both posts came directly from her Instagram Story.

Billie then posted a photo of herself looking confused and added a sharp message aimed at others in the spotlight. She wrote, Hey my fellow celebrities u gonna speak up? Or… The nine-word message quickly spread across social media, with many people praising her for calling out silence.

Billie Eilish continues to dominate the music world. Her latest album was a huge success, and in 2025 she pledged $11.5 million toward climate justice efforts. Her recent award from the King Center shows how much her public role has grown beyond music, based on information shared by the organization and Billie’s team.

Renee Good and Alex Pretti have become powerful symbols in Minnesota as tension grows between federal enforcement and local communities. As award shows and film festivals continue in 2026, more stars appear willing to speak out, both on social media and in public interviews.
