Bob Odenkirk’s Presents Hilariously Brutal Take on Which Childhood Icons He’d Fight—and Who’s Untouchable
At San Diego Comic-Con, Bob Odenkirk sat down with IGN to talk about his new movie Nobody 2, and the conversation took a fun and wild turn when he started joking about which famous characters he’d be willing to fight, and which ones he wouldn’t.
Odenkirk didn’t hold back. He said he wouldn’t hesitate to take on The Brady Bunch. “I would happily kill them, they don’t even have to do anything. Not the littlest girl I wouldn’t hurt, it’s not her fault she’s a Brady.”
He even went after Alvin and the Chipmunks, imagining stepping on them and crushing them with a vivid description: “You have to hear the bones and the gush inside their body, you’re gonna cheer.”
But when it came to Macaulay Culkin’s character from Home Alone, Odenkirk drew the line. “I’m not going to hurt Kevin. He’s going to take me down!” Then he turned his playful rage on Mario, the famous video game plumber: “I’ll kill Mario, I’ll tear that mustache off his face, jam it down his throat, take those goggles, rip him to pieces and stab him with those. It’s gonna be bloody.”
This hilarious chat came while promoting Nobody 2, the sequel to the 2021 action thriller Nobody.
Directed by Timo Tjahjanto and written by Derek Kolstad and Aaron Rabin, the film brings back Bob Odenkirk as Hutch Mansell, a former government assassin trying to live a quiet life. The sequel also sees the return of Connie Nielsen, RZA, Michael Ironside, Colin Salmon, and others, with new cast members like Colin Hanks, John Ortiz, and Sharon Stone joining the mix.
The story continues to follow Hutch Mansell as he faces new challenges, with Nobody 2 set for release in North America on August 15, 2025.
Bob Odenkirk’s funny and brutal take on these classic characters shows he’s ready to throw down with some childhood favorites, except Kevin, who he knows would win the fight hands down. The IGN interview gave fans a chance to see the actor’s playful side while also hyping up what promises to be an intense and exciting action film.
