Brad Pitt Was Ignored by a Famous F1 Driver on Set of the Movie

Hollywood superstar Brad Pitt is widely recognized as one of the most famous faces on the planet, yet even he can occasionally be met with complete indifference. A surprising moment occurred during the production of the 2025 sports drama F1.

A real-life Formula One driver reportedly failed to interact with the Academy Award winner despite being positioned right next to him. The film featured appearances from various racing icons, including Lewis Hamilton, Max Verstappen, Charles Leclerc, and Carlos Sainz Jr.

However, it was McLaren driver Oscar Piastri who made headlines for his nonchalant attitude toward the A-list actor while filming a scene together. The two stood side by side in a driver lineup during a sequence where the national anthem was played, yet no conversation took place between them.

The detail emerged during an interview with Piastri’s mother, Nicole, who spoke about the encounter with The Herald Sun. She explained, “We watched the F1 movie, he made no mention of that, and in one scene he’s standing next to Brad Pitt in the driver line-up when they’re singing the national anthem.”

After she pressed her son about the interaction, the reality of the situation became clear. “So when I spoke to him the next time, I said, ‘I know you’ve met Brad Pitt’, he said, ‘I’m pretty sure I haven’t’. I go, ‘Mate, I saw you. I saw him standing next to you.’”

When his mother provided visual proof by showing him the footage, the 24-year-old racer had a surprisingly candid response. “He goes, ‘What are you going to say to that old guy?’ So, fame has not changed him one bit,” she recounted.

The film F1, which focuses on a veteran driver named Sonny Hayes coming out of retirement to mentor a rookie teammate, has been a significant hit since its release last year.

Brad Pitt, who starred in and produced the high-octane project, has maintained a relentless pace in his career, recently wrapping up filming for his upcoming movie, The Riders, in Greece.
