The cast of Running Point recently made an appearance at SiriusXM Studios as part of promotion for the show’s second season. The visit took place on April 21 during a broadcast of SiriusXM’s Front Row.

Actors Kate Hudson, Scott MacArthur, Brenda Song, and Drew Tarver were all present to talk about the upcoming release. The new season is expected to arrive very soon on Netflix.

The series follows Isla Gordon, played by Kate Hudson, who suddenly takes control of her family’s professional basketball team. The story shows how she adjusts to the pressure of running a sports team while dealing with personal and professional challenges.

Season 2 of the show is set to premiere on April 23. The series was created by Elaine Ko, Mindy Kaling, Ike Barinholtz, and David Stassen, and was first released in 2025 before being renewed for another season.

During promotion, Brenda Song also spoke about a small detail hidden in the new season. She explained that the writers included a reference linked to her partner Macaulay Culkin. The moment appears in a flashback involving her character Ally and Isla, where they bond over watching the 1991 film My Girl.

She shared a light comment about how the idea made it into the show, saying, “That was all the writers. He just signed off on it two days ago. I’m like, ‘Babe, the show’s premiering next week. Sign off on it.’”

The cast appearance also comes as other shows have been doing similar promotional visits, showing a busy press season for upcoming releases.

Small personal touches like this Easter egg make shows more fun for viewers, especially when they connect real life with the story. It also helps fans feel closer to the actors. What do you think about this kind of behind-the-scenes detail? Share your thoughts in the comments.
