Callina Liang and Rayna Vallandingham Bring Arcade Attitude to the ‘Street Fighter’ Press Tour
The ‘Street Fighter’ press tour is entering its final stretch, and the cast is making every stop count. With Paramount’s long-awaited reboot opening in theaters on October 16, its stars have been showing up across fan events, photocalls, and interviews to build excitement for the World Warrior Tournament.
Few cast members have embraced the campaign quite like Callina Liang. The ‘Presence’ and ‘Bad Genius’ star, who plays Chun-Li, has turned her appearances into a steady run of fashion moments, while also stopping by the film’s ComplexCon booth in Los Angeles to celebrate the game’s arcade roots.
Now she has a new partner in crime for the promo trail. A fresh photo shared on October 5 shows Liang posing alongside co-star Rayna Vallandingham for ‘Street Fighter’ press, with the 2 striking playful, fight-ready poses in front of colorful arcade-inspired artwork.
The duo’s styling complements each other perfectly. Liang went for a white cropped tee with dark lace-up pants, while Vallandingham wore a strappy denim-look top with matching dark jeans and raised a clenched fist toward the camera.
The backdrop adds to the fun, with bold retro illustrations that nod to the franchise’s video game origins. Fans quickly praised the pair online, with several calling the photo cute and adorable.
Vallandingham brings genuine martial arts credentials to the film. Born on January 18, 2003, she began training in taekwondo at age 2, encouraged by her grandfather, and has gone on to earn 13 world championship titles.

Her acting career took off in ‘Cobra Kai’. She debuted in the second part of the Netflix series’ sixth season as Zara Malik, a martial arts influencer and self-styled “Queen of Karate” who fought for the Hong Kong dojo known as the Iron Dragons.

She first appeared on screen much earlier, in the 2015 indie MMA film ‘Underdog Kids’. Vallandingham has also appeared in music videos for Shawn Mendes’ “Youth” and David Guetta’s “Baby Don’t Hurt Me,” and she has built a following of more than 3.7 million on Instagram with her weapons-filled martial arts videos.
In ‘Street Fighter’, Vallandingham plays Juli, a character who first appeared in ‘Street Fighter Alpha 3’. In the games, Juli serves as a private security officer and assassin working for the villainous M. Bison.

The role requires authentic fighting ability rather than choreography learned on set, which makes Vallandingham a natural fit. Her casting was revealed at The Game Awards on December 11, 2025, alongside Olivier Richters as Zangief, Mel Jarnson as Cammy and Eric André as Don Sauvage.
The pair are part of an ensemble packed with recognizable names. David Dastmalchian plays M. Bison, Orville Peck takes on Vega, Andrew Schulz plays Dan Hibiki, Hirooki Goto portrays E. Honda, and Vidyut Jammwal plays Dhalsim.
Directed by Kitao Sakurai, the film is set in 1993 and follows estranged fighters Ryu and Ken Masters as Chun-Li recruits them for the next World Warrior Tournament. Andrew Koji and Noah Centineo lead as Ryu and Ken, with Jason Momoa joining as Blanka.
With 2 real-life fighting talents sharing the spotlight, Liang and Vallandingham’s photo feels like a preview of the action to come. Fans won’t have to wait long to see them throw down when ‘Street Fighter’ hits theaters on October 16.
