With less than 2 weeks to go before ‘Street Fighter’ hits theaters, the film’s promotional campaign is in full swing. Trailers, arcade booths, fashion collaborations and cast photocalls have made it one of the busiest rollouts of the season, and Callina Liang has emerged as one of the most visible faces of the ‘Street Fighter’ press cycle.

The campaign went global from the start, launching the World Warrior Tour with a screening in Tokyo and a playable trailer on YouTube. From there, the cast moved through London and Los Angeles, with each stop producing a fresh round of images, and Liang, who plays Chun-Li, has turned nearly every one into a fashion moment.

Her latest look is no exception. In new photos shared on October 3, Liang poses in a fitted corset-style halter bodice with lace detailing, paired with an asymmetrical skirt finished with a floral lace hem, her hair pulled back to keep the focus on the dress.

The 2 frames show different sides of the outfit. In one, Liang leans against a pale wall with one arm raised, showing off the dress’s long, slim silhouette and the flowing lace that peeks out from the bottom of the skirt.

In the other, she sits on a vintage-style chair in a moodier, studio-like setting, which gives the structured bodice and its contrasting textures room to shine. Nude pointed heels keep the styling soft and elegant. Fans were quick to show their appreciation, with one commenter simply calling her stunning. The post racked up thousands of views within hours.

The lace dress caps off an impressive streak. Just a day earlier, on October 2, Liang posed in a courtyard surrounded by wrought-iron balconies wearing a glossy red satin halter top with a matching scarf tied at the neck, a color choice that felt like a playful nod to the film’s vibrant world.

In London, she wore an emerald Di Petsa La Davina Knit Long Dress to the film’s photocall. The gown featured a deep neckline, a gathered bodice, and 2 midriff cutouts, with a metallic chain and a dark red stone adding an intricate centerpiece.

The press tour started generating buzz months ago. At CinemaCon in April, she arrived at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas in a grey corset-style halter top with a V-neck and zipper, a look that went viral the same week the film’s official trailer dropped.

Liang’s appearances have also drawn attention for how closely her character design follows the source material. Early behind-the-scenes glimpses shared by co-star Andrew Schulz, who plays Dan Hibiki, teased Chun-Li’s signature hairstyle and studded blue collar.

Those details suggest the filmmakers leaned into Chun-Li’s classic ‘Street Fighter II’ look rather than her more ornate later designs. In Los Angeles, Liang was even photographed standing beside a full display of the character’s blue costume. Just this weekend, she also stopped by the movie’s booth at ComplexCon in Los Angeles, where fans could play ‘Street Fighter II’ on retro arcade cabinets.

The film, directed by Kitao Sakurai, is set in 1993 and follows Ryu and Ken Masters, played by Andrew Koji and Noah Centineo, as Chun-Li recruits them for the next World Warrior Tournament. Jason Momoa, David Dastmalchian, and Roman Reigns are also among the sprawling cast.

The Canadian actress, born on May 14, 2000, first earned attention in Steven Soderbergh’s ‘Presence’ and the 2024 ‘Bad Genius’ remake before landing the role of Chun-Li in June 2025. With ‘Street Fighter’ opening on October 16, her press tour wardrobe has only a few stops left to impress.
