Cardi B Blasts Poor Trump Supporters: βTo Him, Even Millionaires are Poor”
Cardi B is once again speaking her mind about politics, this time calling out low-income voters who supported Donald Trump in the 2024 election.
During an Instagram Live over the weekend, the rapper criticized people who believed Trump would help improve their financial struggles.
βDonald Trump was never for yβall poor mother****,β she said bluntly. She went on to say that Trumpβs attitude toward the poor wasnβt limited to one group. βDonald Trump was never for the poor people. For the white poors, for the Black poors, for the Spanish poors, for the Asians, for the Indians. He donβt give a f*** about none of yβall,β she added. βTo him, even millionaires are poor.β
Her comments came shortly after the Associated Press reported that the U.S. Department of Agriculture announced food stamp checks wouldnβt be issued on November 1.
The decision followed a memo stating the Trump administration wouldnβt release $5 billion in backup funds for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) as the government shutdown continues. The program currently helps feed about 40 million Americans.
Cardi said the situation reminded her of Trumpβs earlier claims blaming immigrants for the countryβs economic troubles. βNow, Donald Trump was blaming the immigrants for Americaβs downfall,β she said. βLike, I do understand if a country wants to enforce more strict immigration laws. I understand that. However, he was using that as an excuse for the issues that we have in this country, in this economy.β
She then questioned the results of those immigration policies. βNow, how many f*** immigrants has he deported? He has deported so many people. So, now the immigrants are deported, who are we blaming for the fact that we are practically going into a recession? We donβt even have food stamps,β she said.
Cardi B, who had earlier expressed frustration with both major political parties, didnβt plan to vote at first because of her opposition to U.S. involvement in overseas conflicts. However, she later endorsed Kamala Harris, attending a Milwaukee rally in support of her campaign.
Cardi Bβs comments reflect her ongoing frustration with how political decisions affect working-class Americans. Whether or not people agree with her tone, she continues to use her platform to talk about real issues like poverty, government support, and fairness in politics.
