The Matrix stars Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss go back a long way. They both starred in the original Matrix movie back in 1999, playing the roles of Neo and Trinity, respectively. They reprised the role in two sequels, Reloaded and Revolutions, and now they returned for the fourth installment, The Matrix Resurrections, which premiered in theaters and on HBOMax last week.

The Matrix Resurrections received mixed reviews from critics and audiences, and even mixed sounds disappointing in this case considering we’re talking about one of the best sci-fi franchises ever. But despite the criticism, performances from the cast were praised. Reeves and Moss returned to play Neo and Trinity, and Moss now revealed she loves working with Reeves and she’d love to appear in his ongoing John Wick franchise.

Keanu Reeves debuted as John Wick in the original 2014 movie of the same name. Two sequels followed in 2017 and 2019. The fourth installment is set to be released in March 2023, and the fifth movie is already in development. John Wick: Chapter 4 wrapped filming last October, but with the fifth movie already on the way, Carrie-Anne Moss now revealed she would love to join the franchise in Chapter 5.

“I love John Wick. I really started to understand Keanu’s outrageous gift for telling story through his body. And I didn’t fully understand that until I went deep into John Wick with one of my children. It was very bonding for us too. It was amazing to have that experience with my son and to watch the depth that Keanu is able to [create] with his body. It’s really an art form. […] I’d love [playing an assassin in a John Wick movie.]” — Carrie-Anne Moss for People

The Matrix Resurrections now plays in theaters. John Wick: Chapter 4 is set to be released on March 24, 2023.
