The Devil Wears Prada 2 is set to arrive in cinemas on May 1, and new information has surfaced about the many celebrity cameos included in the film.

The details come from set reports, eyewitness accounts, and entertainment coverage including sources like Page Six and Entertainment Weekly, which tracked filming in New York City during production.

The story continues the world of Runway magazine, where Miranda, played by Meryl Streep, is still in charge but now faces a weaker media landscape. Emily, played by Emily Blunt, has moved into a powerful role in the luxury fashion business, working with brands that still connect to Runway.

Filming took place in New York in 2025, where several celebrities were spotted on set. Reports confirm that model Heidi Klum appears in the film, though it is not clear if she plays herself or a character.

Former reality TV star Paige DeSorbo was also seen filming scenes. Like Klum, her role has not been confirmed.

Model Amelia Gray Hamlin was also part of the shoot, again with no official details about her character.

Internet personality and interviewer Amelia Dimoldenberg was spotted on set as well. A social media claim suggests she may appear as herself in the film.

Model and TikTok personality Calum Harper was also involved in filming. He was seen during location shoots in New York.

High fashion model Anok Yai was also confirmed as part of the on-set appearances.

In addition, Ashley Graham and singer Ciara were seen filming together. In the same sequence, model Karolina Kurkova was also present. Reports suggest the scene takes place at a high-profile fashion event similar to a Met Gala setting.

Other names linked to cameos include editor Tina Brown, media figure Kara Swisher, and analyst Molly Jong-Fast. Singer Jon Batiste and designer Marc Jacobs were also reportedly seen on set during filming.

However, not every planned cameo made it into the final version. Actress Sydney Sweeney was filmed for a small appearance early in production, but her scene was later removed during editing.

Her role would have shown her being styled by Emily’s character in a short scene, but it did not fit the final structure of the movie. The decision was described as a difficult creative choice.

Reports also note that cutting cameos is common in big films, especially when final edits change pacing or story flow.

This kind of celebrity-heavy casting fits the world of fashion and media that the franchise is known for, and it will likely be a big talking point when the movie releases. At the same time, cutting scenes like Sydney Sweeney’s shows how much can change during editing, even with big names involved. What do you think about all these cameos? Are they exciting or too much?
