Charli XCX Joins Letterboxd, Fans Dive Into Her Favorite Films!

Charli XCX is a British singer and songwriter known for her unique blend of pop, electronic, and experimental music. She gained major recognition with hits like “Boom Clap,” “1999,” and “Break the Rules,” and has been praised for pushing the boundaries of mainstream pop music.

The British musician’s Letterboxd account, which she confirmed to be hers after it went viral, has caught the attention of her fans. The account first appeared online on December 27 and quickly gained traction. Charli confirmed it was hers when the bio was updated to read, “my account got leaked i guess.”

Since then, fans have eagerly gone through her list of favorite films, which includes movies like ‘Charlie’s Angels,’ ‘The Addiction,’ ‘Bride of Frankenstein,’ and ‘Céline and Julie Go Boating.’ Despite her packed schedule in 2024, Charli has managed to watch an impressive 210 films so far this year.

What’s also drawing attention are Charli’s reviews of the films she’s watched. Some of her comments are simple and to the point, like her reaction to the Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown, where she wrote, “there were a lot of songs in this!” In another review, she mentioned watching ‘The Tragedy of Macbeth’ while her fiancé, George Daniel, built Lego, writing, “watched this whilst george built lego.”

Other reviews are more playful, such as her take on the Brad Pitt film ‘Moneyball,’ where she simply said, “This isn’t for British people.” After watching Luca Guadagino’s ‘Challengers,’ she shared, “was so amped after watching this i ended up going out til 5am with Harrison and then was super hungover for the met. worth it though.”
