Ever since Daredevil: Born Again Season 1 premiered, Charlie Cox has become one of the MCU’s most beloved stars. It’s no surprise that he has fans of all ages, from longtime comic readers to a new generation discovering Daredevil for the first time.

During his recent appearance at Washington State Summer Con, Cox had a heartwarming encounter with one of his youngest fans. A little boy, dressed in Daredevil’s original homemade black suit — the one Matt Murdock wore in the early days of fighting crime in Hell’s Kitchen, approached the actor. The moment captured the spirit of what makes comic conventions so special: fans getting to meet their heroes, and sometimes even becoming them for a day.

The sight of Cox kneeling down to pose with the mini Daredevil quickly made the rounds online, with fans calling it one of the cutest and most wholesome moments from the event.

The second season of Daredevil: Born Again is officially on the way, and it’s shaping up to be a major part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s next phase. After the events of Season 1, Matt is now fighting back against Wilson Fisk, who’s not only the Kingpin of crime but also the mayor of New York City. With Fisk building up his Anti-Vigilante Task Force, Matt needs all the help he can get.

Season 2 is being made by Marvel Studios under its Marvel Television label, with Dario Scardapane as the showrunner. Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead are directing the first block of episodes, and they’re joined by Solvan Naim, Iain B. MacDonald, and Angela Barnes, who also directed episodes of Ironheart. The new season is set to premiere on Disney+ in March 2026 and will have eight episodes.

Charlie Cox is back as Daredevil, and fans can expect more of Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk. The cast also includes Margarita Levieva, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Wilson Bethel, Nikki M. James, Genneya Walton, Clark Johnson, Michael Gandolfini, Ayelet Zurer, and Jon Bernthal.

Krysten Ritter is also joining this season as Jessica Jones, marking her first major appearance in the MCU since the Netflix shows ended. According to Cox, “She and Matt don’t always agree, but there’s a lot of respect between them.”

One of the big twists this season is that Foggy Nelson, Matt’s longtime friend and law partner, was assassinated during Season 1 by Dex, also known as Bullseye. Dex is also returning, played by Wilson Bethel, and continues to be a major threat. Jon Bernthal is back as the Punisher, bringing his brutal take on justice into Matt’s fight against Fisk. And Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones will be joining the resistance. She’s a super-strong private investigator who’s been through a lot and isn’t afraid to speak her mind.

Filming started in February 2025 and will wrap up by July. The production seems to be running more smoothly than Season 1. Scardapane said in a recent update, “It’s a better-oiled machine now,” referring to how the series had been reworked after Marvel decided to change its original plan of making 18 episodes. Instead, those were split into two seasons, allowing for a tighter and more focused story.
