Netflix has released a new look at Apex, the upcoming survival action thriller starring Charlize Theron, Taron Egerton, and Eric Bana. The film promises intense action as it follows a rock climber hunted in the wild.

The film is directed by Baltasar Kormákur and written by Jeremy Robbins. Charlize Theron is not only the lead actress but also serves as a producer alongside Dawn Olmstead, AJ Dix, and Beth Kono. Kormákur produces through RVK Productions, with Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping, David Ready, and Ian Bryce also producing under Chernin Entertainment.

Taron Egerton joined the project in November 2024, and Eric Bana signed on in January 2025. Filming began in February 2025 in Sydney and other locations around New South Wales, Australia. Netflix secured the film’s rights in February 2024, planning a global release on April 24.
The new trailer gives fans a first look at breathtaking outdoor sequences, tense face-offs, and the relentless chase between Sasha and the hunter. It highlights Theron’s physical performance and the suspenseful tone of the story, promising a gripping cinematic experience.
