Christina Applegate is embracing her latest look with a mix of high-end glam and a touch of digital assistance. Following a highly anticipated reunion with her Married… with Children co-stars at The Wiltern in Los Angeles on January 28, the 54-year-old actress took to social media to share her gratitude. She praised her beauty team for helping her achieve a “mermaid” aesthetic, specifically crediting her makeup artist for delivering exactly what she requested.

The Dead to Me star maintained her trademark wit when detailing the process, revealing that while professional hands handled her face and wardrobe, a friend assisted with hair length and some light photo editing.

She expressed that the evening was beyond fun and offered a heartfelt thanks to David Faustino for coordinating the event. Applegate, who appeared in a sophisticated ensemble of gray trousers and a patterned blouse, emphasized that the group was in desperate need of a night of laughs.

The gathering, titled “An Evening with The Bundys,” brought the legendary TV family back together nearly three decades after their show concluded its eleven-season run. Applegate sat alongside her onscreen father, Ed O’Neill, and mother Katey Sagal, while Faustino, who played her brother Bud, helped lead the festivities. Before the event, Faustino shared that he and Applegate maintain a close bond, speaking frequently as she navigates her journey with multiple sclerosis.

Faustino noted that despite the physical challenges of the disease, Applegate’s spirit remains untouched. He described her as being very sarcastic, very dry, and highlighted how she relies on her sharp sense of humor to manage difficult days.

The reunion served not only as a nostalgic trip for fans but also as a fundraiser, with proceeds benefiting the Race to Erase MS foundation—a cause Applegate personally selected due to the life-changing research they support.

Since her diagnosis in 2021, the actress has been remarkably candid about the realities of living with a progressive neurological condition. She previously admitted on a podcast that her daily life is really, really hard and that she seldom leaves her home because of the extraordinary pain and fatigue. During the reunion, she playfully used her cane to punctuate jokes, proving to the audience that she is still every bit the formidable performer they grew up watching.

Currently, Christina Applegate is focusing her energy on projects that allow her to work from home and maintain her health. She is set to release a deeply personal memoir titled You With the Sad Eyes in March, which chronicles her decades-long career and her resilience through personal and medical trials. While a planned animated revival of Married… with Children was unfortunately halted in development last year, she continues to reach fans through her successful “MeSsy” podcast alongside Jamie-Lynn Sigler.
