Colman Domingo Spills on Who Ruled Fashion This Year – You Won’t Believe His Answer!
Colman Domingo didn’t hesitate when asked who he thinks is the most stylish person of the year. He gave one answer without a second thought: himself.
In a clip shared on Instagram on Tuesday by British GQ, the actor was asked, “Who in your opinion is the best-dressed person of the year?” Domingo didn’t miss a beat. “Colman Domingo,” he replied, making everyone laugh. “I wish I was lying.”
The interviewer didn’t argue and Domingo quickly explained why he picked himself. “I’m just saying it because I want my brothers to step up,” he said. “It doesn’t have to be me every year, but maybe you can try harder.” Their playful exchange kept the laughter going. The reporter pointed out, “It’s often you. Last time I saw you, it was you.”
Domingo admitted it was a little awkward to say, but he stood by his answer. “I can’t believe I just said myself, but it’s kind of true though,” the “Rustin” star said, with laughter still in the air.
His confidence isn’t without reason. Earlier this year, Vogue praised him for his fashion sense, saying he’s “setting the bar for men’s fashion.” The magazine spoke with his stylists, Wayman Bannerman and Micah McDonald, who explained how they create his memorable looks.
