Comedian Andy Dick Collapses on Hollywood Street Following Suspected Overdose – Shares Update

Comedian Andy Dick had a frightening incident in Hollywood on Tuesday after suffering what appeared to be a drug overdose.

TMZ reported that Dick, 59, was found slumped on a set of cement stairs outside a building in broad daylight. In the photos obtained by TMZ, Dick is lying motionless with his glasses on the ground nearby, while friends and bystanders tried to help him.

Eyewitnesses said several of Dick’s friends ran to his side, with one shouting at him to “wake up”. Someone called for Narcan, a medication used to reverse opioid overdoses, and it was administered at the scene.

A representative from the Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed that they responded to an overdose involving a 59-year-old man, but the individual was not transported to a hospital.

After the incident, Dick told TMZ that he was okay but declined to explain exactly what happened. He reportedly refused to go to the hospital, feeling “relieved to be okay.”

Andy Dick has long been open about his struggles with addiction. In 2016, he told Vice that he had been to rehab 20 times to address drug and alcohol problems.

The comedian also has a criminal history. In November 2022, he was convicted of sexual battery for an incident in 2018 involving an Uber driver. He served 90 days in prison and is required to register as a sex offender.
