A fake Louis Vuitton ad featuring Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen has gone viral on social media, confusing many fans. According to Cybernews, the image is a deepfake, created with artificial intelligence, showing the famous twins in a way that many found disturbing.

The fake ad, which has nearly three million views on X and other platforms shows the Olsen sisters wearing heavy gold jewelry and Louis Vuitton earrings. But their eyes appear unnaturally wide, and their fingers are unnervingly long.

“This is going to give me nightmares,” one user wrote in the comments. Another said, “What’s wrong with their hands?” Many compared their look to Gollum from Lord of the Rings, while others said it reminded them of old fortune tellers. One user joked, “One looks like she’s going to tell you when you’ll die, the other when it will happen.”

Some comments even blamed the odd appearance on the weight-loss drug Ozempic. One user wrote, “Highlighting ‘Ozempic hands’ as if anyone would notice an engagement ring is over the top, but who knows what these poor women went through as kids.”

Many fans quickly realized the image was digitally altered. One pointed out, “AI forgot to add eyebrows.” Others used AI tools like Grok to check if the ad was real. Rumors claimed the image came from a Christmas photoshoot, but neither the Olsen twins nor Louis Vuitton confirmed the collaboration, making it clear this was a fake campaign.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen first became famous as child stars on the hit TV show Full House. Today, they live more private lives and rarely appear in public. The sisters run the fashion brand The Row, which last showed a collection in Paris in 2025. They were photographed last year in their New York store, keeping a low profile.

It’s a reminder of how easily AI can create images that look real, and how fast they can spread online. Social media users were both fascinated and unsettled by the fake ad, showing how much influence deepfake technology now has.
