The Apothecary Diaries is celebrating its second anniversary with big announcements for fans. A new trailer has been released, confirming that the anime will return for a third season.

The next season is set to begin in Fall 2026. According to TOHO Animation, Season 3 will be split into two parts, just like the first two seasons. Part 1 will start in October 2026, and after a short break, Part 2 will continue in April 2027.

In addition to the new season, a feature film is also coming to theaters in Japan in October 2026.

Details about the movie’s title and staff are still unknown, but the story will be completely original. “Written by original series writer Natsu Hyuga, it’s yet another reason to be excited for its feature film debut,” the announcement said. There is no word yet on whether the movie will have an international release.

The new trailer and poster give fans a glimpse of what’s coming next. With both a new season and a feature film, The Apothecary Diaries is clearly planning to keep its audience engaged for a long time.
