‘Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2’ Release Date, Time, Where to Watch and Preview
‘Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2’ now has a firm premiere date, and Netflix confirmed it at Anime NYC, with the sequel to the 2022 Studio Trigger series arriving on October 20, 2026 alongside a new trailer. The reveal came during Netflix’s main stage panel at the Javits Center.
For viewers planning ahead, the essentials are simple. The series tells a standalone story with different characters, and it will premiere exclusively on Netflix. This guide covers the release date, release time, where to watch and what the latest preview shows about ‘Cyberpunk Edgerunners 2’.
Release Date Confirmed for ‘Edgerunners 2’
Netflix’s Tudum confirms the series arrives on Oct. 20. CD Projekt Red and Studio Trigger confirmed the premiere in a brand new trailer shown at Netflix’s Anime NYC stage event.
The date follows a longer rollout. Netflix and CD Projekt Red had earlier announced a Fall 2026 window through separate posts, and the sequel itself was first announced in July 2025 alongside a brief trailer teasing new characters.
The first season was released on September 13, 2022, and is often credited with helping ‘Cyberpunk 2077’ regain momentum. That game has since sold more than 40 million copies.
Release Time and Episode Format on Netflix
Netflix Originals drop at midnight Pacific, which means viewers in the UAE can start watching at 11am GST. Viewers in other regions can convert from midnight Pacific to find their own local start time.
There will be no weekly wait. Netflix revealed that all ten episodes will premiere on Tuesday, October 20. Like the first season, the show will not follow a weekly release schedule.
The sequel entered production about a year ago. That makes the single drop a reward for fans who have followed the project from its first teaser.
Where to Watch ‘Cyberpunk Edgerunners 2’ Worldwide
Netflix is the only home for the series. The sequel releases exclusively on Netflix, and the premiere is global.
Regional availability is already taking shape. A page for the show has appeared on the Ukrainian version of Netflix, though the service has not yet specified whether Ukrainian subtitles or dubbing will be offered.
Because the plot does not continue the story of David Martinez and Lucy from the first season, the new episodes stand apart from the earlier series. Netflix describes the season as a raw chronicle of redemption and revenge in a city that thrives on violence.
Preview of the Trailer and the New Crew
The latest teaser is the third for the sequel, and it recycles footage from earlier trailers, adds new shots and includes dialogue for the first time. It closes on a promise that Night City will burn again. The trailer also leans into a distinct VHS aesthetic.
It spotlights four new characters, Roman Carax, King, D and Talia Yang. Roman is a young film enthusiast fascinated by analog media, and the footage suggests viewers will see the downfall of his companions through his eyes. King struggles with escalating cyberpsychosis, while D is a vengeful netrunner described as the physical manifestation of grief. Weak Kingsley is voiced by Kentaro Tone and Clancy Brown.
Behind the camera, Kai Ikarashi directs, after helming the sixth episode of the original anime. Bartosz Sztybor returns as showrunner, story writer and producer, and Masahiko Otsuka handles the screenplay. Studio Trigger is responsible for ‘Kill la Kill’, ‘Promare’ and ‘Delicious in Dungeon’.
The first season currently sits at 100 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, which sets a high bar for a cast of strangers. With Weak Kingsley trying to live without chrome and D chasing revenge, which of the four new edgerunners do you expect to leave the deepest scar on Night City by the time the tenth episode ends?
