Ever since Netflix stopped making Marvel TV shows, many Marvel fans wanted to see characters that debuted in Netflix Marvel shows return to MCU via movies or Disney+ shows. Daredevil is the best, and definitely the biggest example of that. Charlie Cox debuted as Matt Murdock aka Daredevil in Netflix’s series Daredevil, and he played the character for three seasons. The series received critical acclaim, and Cox’s performance was widely praised.

Ever since the series ended in 2018, fans started multiple campaigns on social media to save the series, or at least to let Marvel know that they want Cox back to the MCU through some other project. That wish was partially granted in Spider-Man: No Way Home, in which Cox had a cameo appearance as Spider-Man’s lawyer, which was highly speculated by fans prior to the movie’s premiere.

Kevin Feige confirmed that Charlie Cox will continue playing Daredevil in the future of MCU, confirming who, but not revealing how, when, or where. The fans were pleased that we’ll see Cox in MCU again, but we still need to wait for more details about his MCU future. Cox now opened up on how much he knows about his MCU future.

I don’t know what their plans are, but yes, my hope is that I get to do as much as I’m allowed to do, and to be involved. And it’d be really fun, the one thing that being in the MCU allows that we couldn’t really do with the Netflix stuff, is that I can now interact with other MCU characters. So, that would be really cool. Crossovers is the thing I would like to do next. I don’t know what that looks like, and I don’t know what they’re planning and all that kind of stuff. But there are some really interesting stories there that I’d love for the character to explore.” — Charlie Cox for Supanova

Cox certainly has a future in MCU, but we still need to wait for that future to be widely explored. We can’t wait to see more of him, no matter in which project he will appear in.
