Dave & Buster’s Bows To Doctor Doom With an ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Arcade Takeover
Doctor Doom’s promotional takeover keeps growing ahead of ‘Avengers: Doomsday’. Robert Downey Jr.’s villain has already taken over fast-food menus around the world, with KFC launching a Doom-themed menu in more than 100 countries and Jack in the Box rolling out its Doomsday Dipping Box.
With the film opening in theaters on December 18, Marvel is pushing its marketing into nearly every corner of pop culture. The latest partner trades chicken buckets for arcade tickets.
As Cosmic Marvel shared, Dave & Buster’s will transform into “Doom & Buster’s” to promote ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ starting November 16. Laughing Place reports that locations nationwide will carry the rebrand as part of the promotion.
The takeover runs into late January 2027. Promotional art shows a green-lit, Doom-inspired archway leading into an arcade filled with Marvel-themed machines. At the center of the event is a new Doomsday Zone packed with themed games, some of which became available on November 4. ‘MARVEL Cosmic Invasion’ is a 4-player beat ’em up in which players pick 2 heroes and switch abilities mid-fight.

‘Avengers: Roller Race & Battle’ is a 4-player head-to-head race that includes a villain to defeat along the way. Arcade Heroes reports that the Andamiro USA game will remain exclusive to Dave & Buster’s, while Adrenaline declined to say whether ‘Cosmic Invasion’ is exclusive.

The lineup also includes Thor’s Hammer Strike, a hammer-swing game with new Avengers artwork, and Smash N Win, where players try to collect all 20 character-themed balls. Guests can also try the Human Crane, which lets players ride the claw into a prize pit, plus a Mystery Crane, The Arena, and an Avengers-themed photo booth.
Dave & Buster’s is adding a twist to its usual ticket system. During DOOMHOUR, a randomly chosen hour, guests earn double tickets on green swipe games. D&B Rewards members will get a notification 24 hours before a DOOMHOUR day, followed by a second alert that day revealing the exact hour. The surprise format gives regulars a reason to stay alert throughout the promotion.

Fans can also hunt for exclusive Avengers merchandise. The promotion features an Avengers Funko pusher game with Avengers-only Funko prizes, along with Avengers-inspired cotton candy flavors.
Collectible Power Cards featuring ‘Doomsday’ characters will be available while supplies last. Additional themed prizes round out the rewards. The menu is getting its own Marvel makeover too. Doomsday’s Dominion mixes vodka, melon liqueur, pineapple, and lemon-lime soda with a Black Magic sidecar, while the Multiversal Mule comes with edible luster dust and an LED glow cube.
The Fantastic Flight splits into 4 mini cocktails in a nod to Marvel’s First Family. Panther’s Potion features a blue vibranium shimmer sidecar, and Captain Punch blends blue raspberry, coconut and pineapple with a blue sugar rim.

Dave & Buster’s joins a long list of ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ partners. Beyond KFC and Jack in the Box, WWE has also staged an ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ edition of Worlds Collide. The Russo brothers’ film brings together the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, the Wakandans, the New Avengers and the X-Men to face Doom. With weeks still to go before release, Doom’s real-world takeover shows no signs of slowing down.
