Deadpool 3: Hugh Jackman Is Officially Returning as Wolverine!

This is the big day for Marvel fans! Hugh Jackman, who played the role of Wolverine from 2000 to 2017, is now returning. No! No one is playing with you! Ryan Reynolds recently posted a video in which he officially revealed that Deadpool 3 will be released in September 2024, and Jackman is returning as the special guest star!

In the video posted on his official Twitter account, Reynolds officially announced that Deadpool 3 will be released on September 6, 2024, and Jackman joined him to announce the return of his most known character! Check the video down below:

Jackman played the Wolverine for the first time in the 2000 X-Men movie, back when he wasn’t such a known actor. The role was his breakthrough and he reprised the role multiple times until 2017’s Logan, which marked the end of his journey as Wolverine, or so we thought.

With this, Deadpool 3 will certainly become one of the most-hyped movies in the MCU at the moment. With Disney’s acquisition of Fox in 2019, Deadpool is now set to become a part of the MCU, and we can’t wait to see how they’re gonna play that out!

It’s been three years since Disney’s acquisition of Fox, which not only brought blockbuster franchises like Avatar and Alien under Disney’s umbrella, but also Marvel characters that were out of reach for Kevin Feige’s Marvel Studios, including X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Deadpool.

Deadpool has had two movies under Fox, the original 2016’s movie and the 2018’s sequel. Ever since the acquisition, Kevin Feige assured fans that there will definitely be Deadpool 3, that Ryan Reynolds will continue to play the titular character, and, the most important thing of all, the movie will still be rated R. Hugh Jackman’s Logan was also rated R, so in a way, it’s a perfect combination to introduce this rating to the MCU!

We all know that Deadpool must be Deadpool, and he cannot work in any other way, and Kevin Feige is probably aware of that. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was PG-13, but critics agreed that it touched the roof of that rating. One more step further, and it would probably be rated R.

Of course, Deadpool is on whole another level. With all the vulgarity, violence, and everything that makes the R-rated movie the R-movie, that’s the beauty of Deadpool, and fans are hoping that Disney won’t try to water that down. Add Wolverine to that math, and we will probably get one of the best MCU movies ever!

We repeat! Deadpool 3, starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, is set to be released on September 6, 2024!
