Demi Lovato is officially back to being a stage pop diva, and she’s making sure the world knows it through a series of high-fashion teases. The singer recently sent social media into a tailspin by sharing an Instagram update that perfectly captures her new “stage-ready” energy.

In the post, Lovato is seen sporting a daring black sheer top paired with a trendy long denim skirt, a look that strikes the perfect balance between edgy streetwear and arena glamour.

The photos were taken at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, serving as a sneak peek for her upcoming performance at the legendary venue on May 16. Lovato captioned the images by telling fans she would see them soon on the “It’s Not That Deep Tour,” a title that reflects the carefree, dance-pop spirit of her latest era.

Fans quickly flooded the comments to express their excitement, with one supporter writing that they were the moooost proud of her growth and another predicting it would be an iconic show.

This tour marks Lovato’s eighth headlining run and her first major trek back in arenas since 2018. Produced by Live Nation, the 23-city North American journey is scheduled to kick off on April 8 in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The setlist is expected to heavily feature tracks from her ninth studio album, It’s Not That Deep, which moved away from the heavy rock sounds of her previous record in favor of electro-pop and club-ready anthems like “Fast” and “Kiss.”

As of February, Demi Lovato is balancing her musical comeback with a highly anticipated return to the world of acting. She is set to star in the drama film Tow, which is scheduled for a theatrical release on March 20.

Directed by Stephanie Laing, the movie follows a woman fighting to reclaim her life after her car is towed, and it features an Oscar-caliber cast including Rose Byrne, Octavia Spencer, and Ariana DeBose. This role marks Lovato’s first significant live-action film performance in six years, following her well-received turn in 2020’s Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga.

In addition to her role in Tow, Lovato has been working behind the scenes as an executive producer for Camp Rock 3. The project, which picks up years after the original films, is slated to premiere on Disney+ in the summer of this year.

While the Jonas Brothers are set to return as the fictional band Connect 3, the movie will focus on a new generation of campers discovering their voices. Lovato has shared that she felt a beautiful sense of responsibility in mentoring the new cast, even giving them a pep talk about the importance of mental health in the industry.
