Demi Moore has unveiled a striking transformation that has set the fashion world buzzing. On Thursday, February 26, the 63-year-old icon arrived at the Gucci Fall/Winter presentation in Milan with a dramatically different look, having traded her trademark hip-length tresses for a sharp, jaw-skimming bob.

The actress turned heads as she entered the Palazzo Delle Scintille, sporting a sleek, “wet-look” texture that marked a significant departure from her usual style. The bold new cut was the work of celebrity hair expert Dimitris Giannetos, who playfully titled the creation the Demi-tris BoB.

Giannetos explained that he wanted to craft something edgy and forward-thinking to match the energy of the Gucci collection. I felt an amazing, short, above-the-shoulder bob with this very sleek wet texture would be perfect to complement her look, he stated, noting that the style brought out a modern and effortless side of the actress.

To match her sharp new hair, Moore wore an entirely leather ensemble featuring a structured jacket and slim-fitting trousers. She completed the look with dark sunglasses, high heels, and her constant companion: her tiny Chihuahua, Pilaf.

The appearance felt like a nod to the high-glamour aesthetics of the late nineties, blending classic luxury with a modern, rebellious spirit. While Moore has occasionally experimented with her hair for film roles, she has spent much of the last decade dedicated to her signature long locks.

Just last month, she reflected on the versatility of her hair and her appreciation for its natural length. I like leaving room to play, she told PEOPLE, though she admitted that her long hair ultimately makes her feel most like herself. At the end of the day, I love taking it down, seeing my hair fall past my waist. It’s like coming home.

Beyond her fashion week debut, Moore is experiencing a major professional peak following the global success of her body-horror hit The Substance. Her performance in the film has kept her at the center of the awards season conversation, even leading to her being named as a presenter for the upcoming Academy Awards.

She is also starring in the Paramount+ drama Landman, where she plays Cami Miller, the wife of an oil industry power player. Fans can look forward to seeing her on the big screen again very soon in the sci-fi crime comedy I Love Boosters, which is scheduled to premiere at the SXSW Festival in March.

Directed by Boots Riley, the film stars Moore alongside Keke Palmer and LaKeith Stanfield in a story about shoplifters who take on a cutthroat fashion mogul. This busy slate confirms that whether she is rocking a bob in Milan or leading a major film, Moore remains one of Hollywood’s most captivating chameleons.
