Demi Moore’s Stunning Reveal: She Cheated Hours Before Saying ‘I Do’
In her new book, Inside Out, Demi Moore shares a surprising story about her first marriage. At 18, she married musician Freddy Moore, who was 12 years older, in 1980.
The marriage didn’t last long, ending in 1985. In the memoir, Moore admits she cheated the night before their wedding.
“The night before we got married, instead of working on my vows, I was calling a guy I’d met on a movie set,” she writes. “I snuck out of my own bachelorette party and went to his apartment.” She explains why she made that choice. “Why did I do that? Why didn’t I go and see the man I was committing to spend the rest of my life with to express my doubts? Because I couldn’t face the fact that I was getting married to distract myself from grieving the death of my father,” she says.
“Because I felt there was no room to question what I’d already put in motion. I couldn’t get out of the marriage, but I could sabotage it.”After her divorce from Freddy, Moore married actor Bruce Willis in 1987.
They had three daughters: Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah Belle. Their marriage ended in 2000. A few years later, in 2003, Moore started dating Ashton Kutcher, who was 15 years younger than her.
In a New York Times interview published on September 12, she said the relationship felt like a second chance at youth. “It felt like a do-over, like I could just go back in time and experience what it was like to be young, with him—much more so than I’d ever been able to experience it when I was actually in my twenties,” she shared.
Sadly, Moore also revealed she got pregnant during her relationship with Kutcher but lost the baby girl, who would have been named Chaplin Ray, six months into the pregnancy.
