Fans of DC now have a fresh way to dive into their favorite universe with a new online tool called (Not So) Secret Origins. This character creator launched just in time for DC FanDome, a big virtual event happening on October 16. The event is free for everyone and streams live, showing off DC’s latest projects like movies, video games, TV shows, and comics.

With (Not So) Secret Origins, anyone can build their own Super Hero or Super-Villain from scratch. Users get to pick details like face shape, skin tone, eye color, hair style, and body type. There are tons of choices to make a character that feels personal and unique. After that, fans can dress their creation in outfits inspired by DC icons like a Gotham Knight, Kryptonian, Amazonian, Speedster, or even a member of the Lantern Corps. Other options include Shazam!, Atlantean, Clown, Mastermind, and Martial-Artist styles.

The fun doesn’t stop at looks. Fans can tweak suit colors, choosing primary and secondary shades, and add accessories for extra style. Once finished, characters can be placed in famous DC locations like Metropolis, The Batcave, Atlantis, or Themyscira. There are 10 spots to choose from, including the Justice League Meeting Room and the Fortress of Solitude. This lets fans imagine their character living in the DC Multiverse.

DC FanDome is all about bringing fans closer to the action, and this tool is a big part of that. It’s open to people worldwide, giving everyone a chance to create a character that could belong in a comic book story. For more details on the event, the website has all the latest updates. The tool is available in 11 languages and can be found at www.dcfandome.com.

In my opinion, this character creator is a smart move by DC. It’s a fun, easy way to get fans excited and involved, especially with FanDome being virtual and free. Letting people build their own hero or villain makes the DC Universe feel more personal. I think it’ll spark a lot of creativity. What do you think about this new tool?
