Director Peyton Reed Confirmed ‘Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania’ Wrapped Production
Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania wrapped production, as director Peyton Reed confirmed on his Twitter account, sharing the excitement for the fans to see what Marvel prepared for this movie. Quantumania is the third installment of the MCU’s Ant-Man trilogy – that started back in 2015 and continued in 2018 when Wasp joined the chat.
“Principle photography on ANT-MAN AND THE WASP: QUANTUMANIA is now complete! Can’t wait to show you all what we’ve been up to…”
Peyton Reed on Twitter
The first Ant-Man movie introduced Paul Rudd as Scott Lang, an ex-con looking for a second chance to reunite with his daughter Cassie. The movie also introduced Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, a genius scientist and the original Ant-Man, while Evangeline Lilly played Hope van Dyne, Hank’s daughter who became the Wasp in the 2018 sequel. The sequel also introduced Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet van Dyne, Hank’s wife and the former Wasp.
All those actors and their characters returned in Avengers: Endgame, and now they’ll return in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Like, honestly, we can’t wait to find out what the title is all about. Cassie Lang, Ant-Man’s daughter, will be played for the first time by Kathryn Newton. Abby Ryder Fortson played the character in the first two movies, Emma Fuhrmann played the character in Avengers Endgame due to the 5-year time jump.
Cassie Lang should reportedly become a hero known as Stature in the third movie, which should lead to the assembling of Young Avengers in the MCU. After debuting as He Who Remains, Jonathan Majors will return in this movie, but this time as Kang The Conqueror. We can’t wait for that. Bill Murray is set to have a special cameo in the movie.
Directed by Peyton Reed, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is set to be released on July 28, 2023.
