Rachel Zegler is in the middle of one of the busiest chapters of her career. After winning the Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical in 2026 for her turn as Eva Perón, she is preparing to bring Jamie Lloyd’s acclaimed revival of ‘Evita’ to Broadway.

The role clearly means a great deal to her. Reflecting on her 12-week run at the London Palladium, Zegler said “that production and having done it with the people I did is my proudest achievement,” she told TIME.

With the Broadway transfer approaching, Zegler is also serving up off-duty style moments. New photos shared on October 5 show the actress posing in a chic, edgy ensemble that has fans praising her effortless look.

The outfit balances tough and polished elements perfectly. Zegler wore an oversized black leather jacket draped over a shimmering, cropped beige top that caught the light. She paired it with a grey belted midi pencil skirt, strappy metallic heels, and a small structured silver handbag. Her long dark hair fell in soft waves as she leaned against a sleek dark storefront.

The leather jacket is a familiar staple for Zegler, who has often mixed it into her street style. This time, the shimmering top and tailored skirt gave the look a more elevated, evening-ready edge.

Zegler has made plenty of fashion headlines in 2026. At the Met Gala in May, she wore a Prabal Gurung look inspired by Paul Delaroche’s 1833 painting ‘The Execution of Lady Jane Grey’, a choice that sparked lively debate online.

Some fans praised the look as a clever reference, while others were less convinced. Either way, it showed Zegler isn’t afraid to take creative risks with her style. Her biggest project right now is the stage. ‘Evita’ arrives on Broadway in February at a Shubert theater, with Zegler reprising her role as Eva Perón.

She’ll be joined by her London co-stars Diego Rodriguez, who returns as Che, and James Olivas, who makes his Broadway debut as Juan Perón. The full cast recording of the West End production is also being released as a triple vinyl and digital album.

Fans are especially curious about the show’s famous balcony sequence. In London, Zegler performed “Don’t Cry for Me Argentina” from the Palladium balcony to crowds gathered outside, and the moment will be reimagined for New York.

Zegler’s film career is also gearing up again. She has several features in the pipeline, including the indie dramedy ‘She Gets It From Me’, the psychological thriller ‘NDA’ and the Lin-Manuel Miranda-directed ‘Octet’.

Those projects mark her return to the big screen for the first time since Disney’s 2025 live-action ‘Snow White’. That film came with a series of controversies, but Zegler now appears focused firmly on her next chapter.

Between Broadway, upcoming films, and standout fashion moments, she has plenty to celebrate. Judging by these latest photos, she’s stepping into that new era with confidence.
