Disney Star Zac and Dylan Efron Show Off Their Muscles in New Boat Day Photos
Zac and Dylan Efron know how to get people talking without even trying. The brothers recently spent a sunny day together on a boat, and Dylan gave fans a peek at their getaway through Instagram. The photos quickly caught attention, especially because Zac rarely shares this kind of personal moment himself.
Dylan posted a carousel from the trip with the simple caption, “Taking it easy ☀️.” The pictures showed the brothers hanging out with friends, wakeboarding, playing golf, and enjoying the last part of summer. Both Zac and Dylan were wearing matching black swim trunks, and their relaxed day quickly turned into another viral Efron brothers moment.
Fans had plenty to say about the photos. One follower joked, “First pic is what you see when heaven’s gates open,” while another wrote, “my type is efron.” Even Taylor Lautner joined the conversation, leaving a funny comment about his “aunt tammy” being on the app. It was a pretty clear sign that Dylan’s post had attracted plenty of attention.
While the photos mostly show the brothers having fun, their relationship has changed a lot over the years. Dylan previously opened up about that in a 2021 interview with BroBible. According to Dylan, he and Zac were not always close when they were younger. In fact, he described their relationship as “super combative” and said they “were always fighting with each other.” Their age difference and very different personalities apparently played a big part in that.
Things became much easier between them as Dylan got older. He explained to BroBible that Zac became a much bigger source of support after Dylan finished college and moved to Los Angeles for work. “Then once I graduated college, Zac really took me under his wing and let me live with him when I got my first job in Los Angeles,” Dylan said.
That change seems to have helped turn the brothers into a much stronger team. They now regularly spend time together, travel, and work on projects connected to each other’s careers. Dylan has also become much more comfortable sharing parts of their life online, while Zac has continued to keep a much lower profile.
Their personalities could hardly be more different. Dylan has previously explained that he was a quiet and shy kid, especially compared with Zac. “As a kid, I would get red-faced talking in front of five people. I was Zac’s polar opposite. I was very much a sports player who was quiet and shy,” he said.
Dylan has also talked about how private he used to be. He did not start using social media until he was in his mid-twenties and once described himself as “very private.” That is certainly not the impression fans get from his Instagram today. With close to two million followers, Dylan now regularly posts about his travels, adventures, and time with family.
Zac has also spoken warmly about his relationship with his younger brother. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, he explained, “I’m a big brother myself, I love him to death, there’s a certain kind of relationship — it’s just a brother bond.” His comments came while discussing a role in which he played the oldest of five brothers, but his words also showed how much his real-life relationship with Dylan means to him.
The latest photos are also a nice reminder that Zac appears to be enjoying some downtime. The actor has had a busy few years with projects including The Iron Claw, The Greatest Beer Run Ever, and other major film roles, so relaxed days with his brother and friends offer a different look at his life away from Hollywood.
Dylan’s latest Instagram post may have started as nothing more than a collection of vacation photos, but fans clearly loved seeing the brothers together. After years of growing up with very different personalities, Zac and Dylan now seem to have found a comfortable rhythm as adults.
And judging by these latest photos, they are still finding plenty of ways to have fun together before summer disappears.
