Walt Disney World in Orlando is giving fans their first close-up look at three major new lands coming to its parks. Disney has been quiet about major new attractions since building TRON Lightcycle / Run, but that’s about to change.

The company recently opened an exhibit showcasing concept art for the upcoming areas, offering a detailed glimpse at what visitors can expect.

The exhibit is located at Hollywood Studios and features plans for the Monsters, Inc.-inspired land, expected to be called Monstropolis, a Cars-themed area called Piston Peak at Magic Kingdom, and a new Tropical Americas land at Animal Kingdom. While Disney has shared bits of concept art before, this is the first time all three lands are displayed together in a single physical exhibit.

Guests visiting the Walt Disney Presents self-guided tour can explore each land’s details. Monstropolis will include a theater where MuppetVision 3D once stood and a suspended rollercoaster hidden inside a large building at the back of the land. Concept art even shows Mike Wazowski and James P. Sullivan holding onto a door as the coaster zooms past.

According to Disney, the land will offer “shopping, dining and the first-ever suspended coaster in a Disney park. As in the film, guests will first be hoisted into the air – via a unique vertical-lift system – before zooming off on a thrilling ride through the iconic Door Vault.”

Tropical Americas at Animal Kingdom will feature an Encanto-themed ride and a new Indiana Jones attraction, replacing the park’s Dinosaur ride. The exhibit includes both concept art and a detailed physical model showing everything from the Casa Madrigal to the Indiana Jones temple.

Disney promises “a central fountain, quick-service restaurant, hand-carved carousel and two signature attractions – the first-ever ‘Encanto’-themed ride-through experience and a new ‘Indiana Jones’ adventure unlike any other in the world.”

Piston Peak at Magic Kingdom is perhaps the most debated of the three lands, as it will replace Tom Sawyer Island and the Rivers of America. Concept art shows layouts, Cars characters, and other vehicles.

Disney describes the area as an opportunity for visitors to “explore the natural wonders of the American ‘wheelderness.’ In addition to stunning views and iconic characters, the area will feature two all-new original attractions — a thrilling rally race around the park and a second experience that will be fun for the whole family.”

This exhibit gives Disney fans a first tangible look at what the future holds for the parks. It highlights how much thought and creativity is going into each new land, from major rides to smaller details like themed dining and shopping.
