‘Drag Race’ Expands: Mexico Gets New Spin-Off as Philippines Returns for Season 4

WOW Presents Plus has revealed exciting news for Drag Race fans, announcing a brand-new series and a returning favorite from the global franchise.

The latest addition, Drag Race Mexico: Latina Royale, will follow the “Vs the World” format, which was first introduced with Drag Race Philippines: Slaysian Royale. The series will bring together Latin queens from various international versions of Drag Race to compete for a global crown.

In addition to the new Mexico edition, WOW Presents Plus confirmed that Drag Race Philippines has officially been renewed for a fourth season, keeping fans of the popular series eagerly anticipating 2026. Both shows are slated to premiere next year.

Executive producers and World of Wonder co-founders Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato celebrated the announcements in a statement: “World of Wonder is proud to continue spotlighting the many cultures which shape global drag, and celebrate Latin artistry with Drag Race Mexico: Latina Royale.”

Ahead of the new Mexico series, a special highlights show called Drag Race Mexico Rewind is set to debut in December. The series will showcase fan-favorite moments from the previous Drag Race Mexico seasons and help build excitement for the Latina Royale premiere.

The Drag Race franchise, created by World of Wonder, began with the original RuPaul’s Drag Race in 2009.

Over the years, the series has expanded into a global phenomenon with international versions in countries including the United Kingdom, Canada, the Philippines, Spain, and more. The franchise has celebrated drag culture worldwide, bringing local talent to the spotlight while fostering a global community of performers and fans.

Details about hosts and contestants for Drag Race Mexico: Latina Royale have not been released yet, but fans can expect a mix of charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent when the series arrives.
