Dua Lipa Makes a Statement in See Through Lace at Rosebush Pruning Premiere
Dua Lipa transformed the red carpet into her own personal runway this past weekend at the 76th Berlin International Film Festival. Attending the world premiere of the satirical thriller Rosebush Pruning on February 14, the 30-year-old pop icon opted for a romantic yet daring aesthetic that perfectly suited the Valentine’s Day occasion.
She arrived in a custom black Chanel gown that featured a delicate, floor-length lace construction, offering a sophisticated take on the “naked dress” trend that has dominated recent fashion cycles. The off-the-shoulder ensemble was meticulously detailed, with intricate floral lace giving way to shaggy, textured fabric that pooled around her feet.
Lipa layered the transparent number over a matching black tube bra and high-waisted briefs, striking a balance between high-fashion couture and edgy streetwear. She later shared a series of behind-the-scenes glimpses on Instagram, documenting the night with a carousel of images captioned V-day in Berlin. Rosebush Pruning Premiere.
To keep the focus on the gown’s elaborate textures, the singer pulled her hair back into a sleek, tight bun that highlighted her sharp features. Her makeup palette leaned into cool tones, featuring lavender eyeshadow and a defined, red-brown lip that complemented her radiant complexion.
The look was punctuated by a striking Bulgari Serpenti necklace and a collection of silver ear piercings, adding a final touch of “extra oomph” to an already unforgettable fashion moment. While Lipa was the focus of the flashing cameras, she was there to support her fiancé, British actor Callum Turner, who leads the ensemble cast of the buzzy festival entry.
The couple, who confirmed their engagement in mid-2025, appeared deeply in love as they shared a few private whispers and laughs before Turner stepped forward for his solo press duties. Fans were quick to flood the singer’s social media with praise, with many calling her an absolute goddess and the most beautiful star of the festival circuit.
The film itself, Rosebush Pruning, has become one of the most talked-about titles of the Berlinale. Directed by Karim Aïnouz and written by The Lobster scribe Efthimis Filippou, the movie is a dark, surrealist satire centered on a wealthy American family living in a modernist villa in Catalonia.
Turner stars as Ed, one of four siblings who navigate a web of isolation, designer clothes, and inherited trauma following the mysterious death of their mother, played by a resurgent Pamela Anderson.
The project boasts an impressive cast that includes Riley Keough, Jamie Bell, Lukas Gage, and Tracy Letts, though many eyes are on Turner as he continues to be a favorite in James Bond casting rumors.
During the festival’s press conference, Turner remained coy about the 007 speculation, though his leading-man presence on the Berlin red carpet did little to quiet the chatter. For now, the actor is also looking forward to the August release of the romantic comedy One Night Only, where he stars alongside Monica Barbaro.
Dua Lipa is equally as busy. Between her chart-topping music, her successful Service95 book club, and her blossoming film career, having recently appeared in the spy thriller Argylle, Lipa remains one of the most versatile and influential figures in the global entertainment landscape.
