Dua Lipa’s Fiancé Emerges as Top Contender to Become the Next James Bond
The race to find the next James Bond has taken another turn, and betting markets say a new name has pushed ahead of the rest.
While several well-known actors are still considered possibilities, Callum Turner has suddenly become the top choice according to UK bookmakers.
Turner, who is engaged to singer Dua Lipa, has been discussed as a possible 007 before, but a recent rise in bets has boosted his chances even more.
Coral, one of the major betting companies in Britain, reported a sharp increase in support for the British actor within just one day. Their spokesperson John Hill said, “We’ve been knocked over with support for Callum Turner in our next James Bond betting over the last 24 hours. The British actor is now the red-hot favourite for the role.” Coral adjusted Turner’s odds to 7-4, marking a notable shift in the race.
Others still in the running include Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Theo James, and James Norton, along with Martin Compston. Aaron and Theo are currently listed at 3-1, while Henry Cavill follows at 6-1. Further down the list are actors such as Anthony Boyle, Harris Dickinson, and Jack Lowden. Regé-Jean Page, once a strong fan pick, has also reappeared publicly but has not shared anything about the Bond rumours.
The search for the new 007 has been uncertain since Daniel Craig left the role in 2021. The franchise is now under Amazon MGM Studios, and longtime producer Barbara Broccoli has stepped back. A new Bond film is confirmed, with Denis Villeneuve and Steven Knight linked to the next instalment, adding more anticipation to the casting process.
