‘Dutton Ranch’ Episode 6 Release Date Confirmed As the Yellowstone Spinoff Continues Its Record-Breaking Run
The ‘Yellowstone‘ universe has never been bigger, and if the numbers behind its newest chapter are any indication, Taylor Sheridan shows no signs of slowing down. Following Beth and Rip Dutton as they trade Montana for a 7,000-acre stretch of South Texas, ‘Dutton Ranch’ centers on the couple’s fight to build a future on a new ranch, complicated by fierce competition from a powerful rival family known as the Jacksons and the challenge of raising young Carter into the man he is meant to become.
The nine-episode first season launched on Paramount+ on May 15 with its first two episodes, with new installments dropping weekly. The series also runs on the Paramount Network, airing at 8/7c. It is worth noting that the show went through its share of scheduling changes, originally expected to premiere in fall 2025 before being pushed back to this year. The wait, it turns out, was well worth it for fans of the franchise.
The viewership response to ‘Dutton Ranch’ has been nothing short of extraordinary. The May 15 premiere racked up 12.9 million views worldwide in its first seven days, setting a new record for a Paramount+ original series premiere. That figure eclipsed the previous record of 8.8 million views achieved by the ‘Mobland’ series premiere in 2025. On the linear side, the Paramount Network debut drew 2.9 million viewers over three days of viewing, with the first episode alone accounting for 1.9 million, making it the best three-day total for a cable series debut since Hallmark’s ‘Ride’ in 2023.
With momentum firmly behind the show, fans are now eagerly tracking its weekly cadence. Episode 6 is confirmed to arrive on June 12 at the show’s standard rollout time of 3:00 AM Eastern Time on Paramount+, with no mid-season break interrupting the run. Viewers who prefer the traditional linear experience can catch it on the Paramount Network on the same day at 8:00 PM ET. The upcoming episode is expected to run approximately 48 minutes, consistent with the rest of the season, and with four episodes remaining after it, the story of Beth and Rip’s Texas standoff is only getting started.
Alongside Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser, the series boasts a remarkable supporting cast that includes Academy Award nominees Annette Bening and Ed Harris, whose presence in the Dutton universe has added considerable prestige to an already beloved franchise. Cole Hauser himself reacted to the record-setting numbers on social media, thanking both longtime fans and newcomers and urging everyone to keep ‘Dutton Ranch’ rolling.
With the season finale set for July 3 and the show already performing at a level that makes a second season look highly likely, Beth and Rip’s Texas chapter appears to be far from over. Whether the Jackson family rivalry escalates into something even messier before the credits roll on season one remains to be seen, but the audience is clearly showing up to find out. What do you think, is ‘Dutton Ranch’ living up to the legacy of ‘Yellowstone’, or has Beth finally met her match in South Texas?
