Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt Share the Spotlight at Governors Awards
Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt appeared together on the red carpet at the 16th Governors Awards hosted by AMPAS in Los Angeles. Both actors are in contention for major acting honors this season, with Johnson up for Best Actor and Blunt for Best Supporting Actress.
Blunt drew attention in a bright dress with unique neckline detailing that resembled a folded bow. The gown also featured sheer paneling along the hip and thigh, adding a bold touch. She wore her hair in a sleek bun and kept her makeup natural, letting her features stand out.

Johnson, known for his action-packed roles, starred alongside Blunt in the sports drama The Smashing Machine, portraying wrestler Mark Kerr. While the film received critical praise, it struggled at the box office. Outside of that project, Blunt is also set to appear in Steven Spielberg’s upcoming sci-fi film with Josh O’Connor and will reprise her role as Emily Charlton in The Devil Wears Prada 2, scheduled for release in May 2026.
Johnson’s upcoming projects include returning as Maui in Disney’s live-action Moana in 2026. He was also cast in a crime drama directed by Martin Scorsese, co-starring Blunt and Leonardo DiCaprio, which explores the rise of a mob boss in Hawaii. Additionally, Johnson will reunite with the Safdie brothers for Lizard Music, based on the teen novel by Daniel Pinkwater.
Seeing Johnson and Blunt together on the Governors Awards carpet highlighted not only their professional collaborations but also their strong presence in Hollywood’s current awards season.
