After months of waiting, One Piece fans finally got a first look at the long-awaited Elbaf Island arc. The main anime series revealed its first trailer and announced the official release date during the Jump Festa 2026 event.

The panel included the series’ core voice cast, such as Mayumi Tanaka (Luffy), Kazuya Nakai (Zoro), Akemi Okamura (Nami), Kappei Yamaguchi (Usopp), Hiroaki Hirata (Sanji), Ikue Otani (Chopper), Yuriko Yamaguchi (Robin), Subaru Kimura (Franky), Cho (Brook), and Katsuhisa Houki (Jinbe).

According to Toei Animation, the Elbaf arc will begin airing in Japan on April 5, 2026. It will follow the conclusion of the Egghead arc this month, after a three-month break. The studio has confirmed that the new episodes will adapt one manga chapter per episode. Fans can now check out both the new trailer and the key visual for the upcoming arc, offering a first glimpse at what’s to come.

Alongside the announcement of the Elbaf arc, One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda confirmed that a new anime movie is also in development. Details about the film are being kept secret. In a message delivered by the anime’s cast, Oda said, “I am not allowed to mention anything…because they’ll be really interested in the story.” So far, no title, release window, or first look has been shared.

Earlier this year, anime producer Ryuta Koike revealed that starting in 2026, the main One Piece series will only air 26 episodes per year. This change makes One Piece a seasonal anime for the first time since its 1999 debut, as the series previously aired most weeks without significant breaks.
