The MCU fans are currently looking forward to the release of the next MCU entry Thor: Love and Thunder. Still, the dust hasn’t completely settled regarding the latest MCU entry Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which was first released last May, and now it can be streamed on Disney+.
Elizabeth Olsen, an MCU veteran who first appeared as Scarlet Witch in 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, played the villainess in the second standalone Doctor Strange movie, and given the movie’s ending, the question about Olsen’s MCU future arose.
In a recent interview for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Olsen said she has no idea if Marvel Studios is planning something with her character in the future, but she didn’t try to hide she’s excited to reprise the role whenever Kevin Feige calls again.
“I hope so. They don’t tell me anything about my fate. I should come back. But I really, I don’t know. I want, like, fans to be, like, so aggressive, you know, and, like, terrify them into doing it or something. I mean, that’s not a good way to do anything actually. I really take that back. No one needs to use, like, force. I would love to do more.” — Elizabeth Olsen
Marvel Studios is currently developing a WandaVision spin-off series, called Agatha: House of Harkness, with Kathryn Hahn set to reprise the role and Jac Schaeffer, head writer of WandaVision, attached as the creator. Olsen expressed her interest in reprising the role in that series, and there are also a ton of rumors that Marvel might eventually develop a Scarlet Witch solo project. We’re taking that with a grain of salt, but we’re looking forward to Elizabeth Olsen’s return, whenever and wherever it happens.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is now streaming on Disney+.
