After 12 years on the air in various shapes and sizes, the Arrowverse came to an end in 2024 when the final episode of Superman & Lois ended. And while the fictional universe moved away from its roots over the years, growing significantly, many fans still like to go back to the beginning.

The whole fictional universe spun off from the Arrow series, which set the foundations and the bar for all future shows. And while Arrow ended back in 2020, many fans are still hoping for a potential revival, and the idea has been discussed with the cast members as well.

In a recent podcast, Emily Bett Rickards discussed the possibility of a revival and revealed that she would gladly return to play Felicity Smoak once again, but her reasoning is very interesting!

The discussion happened during a visit to Michael Rosenbaum’s Inside of You podcast, where the two of them discussed various topic, among which was her potential Arrowverse return:

In case you don’t have the time to watch the whole video, Rickards stated that she was very proud of her role and the character: “As the years went on, things got like a little crazy, but I’m still so grateful for not only Arrow, but for Felicity. I’m really proud of who Felicity was.”

She did say that she thought that Felicity “got a little lost in the later seasons, and I wish I could have changed that for her, but I wasn’t a writer.” Naturally, she would like to return to the role, and she would like to give Felicity another shot, but her reasoning might surprise you.

“Probably, yeah. I want to give Felicity her flowers, to be honest,” she explains. “There are things that I wish that Felicity stood up for more. I love Felicity [so] I’m not doing it for Arrow or really the fans. I’d be doing it for Felicity. And then everybody else gets it just as a side effect!”
