Emma Stone was the picture of confidence as she arrived at the 98th Academy Awards Nominees Luncheon this Tuesday. The event, held at the Beverly Hilton, is a cherished tradition where the year’s top talent gathers for a massive group photo before the big ceremony in March.

The actress is currently celebrating her seventh career nomination for her lead role in the sci-fi thriller Bugonia. She wore a sharp black couture blazer as a mini dress, a look that came straight from Julie de Libran’s Spring 2026 collection.

Her stylist, Petra Flannery, opted to remove the floor-length skirt that originally accompanied the blazer on the Paris runway. The resulting look was modern and bold, featuring padded shoulders and a delicate leather rosette detail at the neckline.

Stone kept her accessories minimal to let the tailored piece stand out. She paired the blazer-dress with sheer black tights and black sandals, looking every bit the Hollywood powerhouse she has become.

The luncheon was a chance for Stone to catch up with other major nominees, including Timothée Chalamet and her close friend Elle Fanning. Stone was seen smiling and chatting with her fellow stars as they waited for their names to be called for the class photo.

She has made history with her work on Bugonia by becoming the youngest woman ever to reach seven Academy Award nominations. In addition to her Best Actress nod, she is also nominated as a producer for the film, which is up for Best Picture.

Bugonia marks the third time Stone has collaborated with director Yorgos Lanthimos on a film that earned a Best Picture nomination. Their creative partnership has previously produced hits like The Favourite and Poor Things, the latter of which won Stone her second Oscar.

The actress has been incredibly busy lately with a string of high-profile projects. Earlier this week, she starred in her first-ever Super Bowl commercial for Squarespace, which was also directed by Lanthimos and featured her smashing computers in a comedic fit of rage.

She also recently starred in contemporary western thriller Eddington, directed by Ari Aster. That film features an ensemble cast that includes Joaquin Phoenix, Pedro Pascal, Austin Butler, and Luke Grimes.

Stone is also set to return to one of her most famous roles in the development of Cruella 2. While the plot details are still secret, fans are eager to see her take on the iconic Disney villain once again with her signature flair.

Another project on her horizon is the film Checkmate, which is rumored to be directed by her husband, Dave McCary. This would mark a significant professional collaboration for the couple, who have worked together on various production efforts in the past.

She remains a favorite to win her third Best Actress statuette on March 15. Her performance in Bugonia has been described by critics as a masterclass in physical acting and emotional depth.

As she moves toward the end of another successful awards tour, Stone continues to be a leader in both fashion and film. Her appearance at the luncheon served as a perfect preview of the glamour we can expect on Oscar night.
