Emma Stone turned heads at the 2026 Golden Globes with a bold butter-yellow outfit and a youthful, taut look that immediately sparked fan speculation online. The 37-year-old actress was nominated for Best Actress for her role in Bugonia, but it was her striking appearance, rather than an award, that dominated the conversation.

Stone wore a yellow skirt paired with a matching cropped top that showed off her toned abs. She also debuted a bob hairstyle, which she recently described as an “unexpectedly fun” part of growing out her hair after shaving it off for her role in Bugonia.

“The first three months were the hardest part because I wore a beanie constantly. It was very short and buzzed, and I found it just kind of boring to always be wearing a beanie. But once it got to pixie length, from then on, it’s been a really fun process. You get to try so many different styles,” she explained.

Fans on social media quickly began debating whether Stone’s youthful and taut look was natural or the result of cosmetic procedures. A Reddit user wrote, “Her face looks so different to me lately. Hair is cute though.”

Another said, “She’s had a great facelift done. Experts have weighed in on what may have contributed to Stone’s changed appearance. Dr. Jonny Betteridge, a London-based aesthetic doctor, told the Daily Mail that her current look could be consistent with an upper blepharoplasty and an endoscopic temporal brow lift and mid-face lift.

“(They) lift and tighten the mid to upper face, like the cheeks, temples, and brows, using small incisions and a tiny camera called an endoscope,” he explained. Blepharoplasty focuses on the upper eyelids, trimming excess skin to make the eyes look more open and youthful. Brow lifts involve small hidden incisions along the hairline to lift the forehead and reduce sagging.

Stone lost the Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy award to Rose Byrne for If I Had Legs I’d Kick You, but she remained in high spirits throughout the night. She was seen chatting with Hollywood colleagues, hanging out backstage with Wicked director Jon M. Chu, and taking selfies with Alicia Silverstone.

Her film Bugonia was also nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for Jesse Plemons, and Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, though it did not win either category.
