‘Euphoria’ Season 3 Officially Confirms Release Window with New Stars Joining the Cast
HBO’s hit series Euphoria is officially set to return for a third season in spring 2026, bringing a mix of familiar faces and new cast members to the teen drama.
Created by Sam Levinson, the show follows Rue, a drug-addicted teenager played by Zendaya, as she navigates school, family, and recovery. Season 2, which aired in 2022, became HBO’s most-watched non-fantasy series and earned 25 Emmy nominations, winning nine awards.
Season 3 is expanding its cast with 18 new additions, including Trisha Paytas, Natasha Lyonne, Danielle Deadwyler, and Eli Roth.
Other newcomers joining the ensemble are Bella Podaras, Bill Bodner, Cailyn Rice, Colleen Camp, Gideon Adlon, Hemky Madera, Homer Gere, Jack Topalian, Jessica Blair Herman, Kwame Patterson, Madison Thompson, Matthew Willig, Rebecca Pidgeon, and Sam Trammell. Returning actors include Alanna Ubach, Daeg Faerch, Melvin Bonez Estes, Paula Marshall, Sophia Rose Wilson, and Zak Steiner.
Variety reported that Dominic Fike will reprise his role as the guitar-playing, trouble-making Elliot. Nika King, who plays Rue’s mother Leslie, will also return after she made headlines earlier in the year when production delays affected her work.
The show continues to feature its main stars, such as Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Eric Dane, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, Martha Kelly, Chloe Cherry, and Colman Domingo.
Previous Season 3 additions include Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Toby Wallace, Sharon Stone, Rosalía, Marshawn Lynch, Darrell Britt-Gibson, Kadeem Hardison, Priscilla Delgado, James Landry Hébert, Anna Van Patten, and Asante Blackk. Some actors will not return this season, including Storm Reid, who plays Rue’s sister Gia, and Barbie Ferreira, who left the series in 2022. Tragically, Angus Cloud, who portrayed Fezco, passed away in 2023 at age 25.
Several high-profile crew members are joining the production. Four-time Oscar-winning costume designer Colleen Atwood comes on board as co-producer, with Natasha Newman-Thomas serving as costume designer and Francois Audouy as production designer. Hans Zimmer will compose the score for Season 3, while Labrinth, who created the music for the first two seasons, will also return.
Season 3 is currently filming in Los Angeles after facing several production delays. With a mix of new characters, returning stars, and top-tier production talent, the upcoming season promises to continue Euphoria’s intense, emotional storytelling.
The new cast and crew additions suggest Season 3 could be even bigger and more ambitious than before. Fans of the show will likely be excited to see how these fresh faces fit into Rue’s world. Do you think Season 3 will live up to the first two seasons? Share your thoughts in the comments.
