‘Euphoria’ Season 3 Teaser Shows Zendaya’s Rue in Deep Trouble
HBO has released a new teaser for the upcoming third season of Euphoria, giving fans a first look at what’s in store for Zendaya’s Rue Bennett.
The footage shows Rue still struggling with her personal demons as she navigates life a few years after high school. In voiceover, Rue says, “There’s no turning back. A few years after high school, I don’t know if life was exactly what I wished.” The teaser was part of HBO’s preview of its 2026 lineup, which also included glimpses of House of the Dragon and Dune: Prophecy.
In the short trailer, Rue is seen at a party dancing with women, sitting alone in a church, and running from someone while constantly looking over her shoulder. Other main characters, including Lexi (Maude Apatow), Maddy (Alexa Demie), Nate (Jacob Elordi), Cassie (Sydney Sweeney), and Jules (Hunter Schafer), also make appearances.
The teaser hints that Rue will be facing a new threat, a ruthless kingpin played by Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje. At one point, he tells Rue, “You walk up into my house, and you don’t even introduce yourself.” Not much else about his character has been revealed so far.

The third season of Sam Levinson’s teen drama is set to premiere on HBO in April 2026, more than four years after the season 2 finale. Levinson revealed that the new season will introduce fresh faces to the series, including Rosalía, Trisha Paytas, Natasha Lyonne, Danielle Deadwyler, Eli Roth, and Marshawn Lynch. However, Rue’s sister Gia, played by Storm Reid, and Barbie Ferreira’s character Kat will not be returning.
With this teaser, it’s clear that Rue and the rest of the Euphoria cast are heading into new challenges and conflicts. The series promises to continue exploring the turbulent lives of these characters while adding new layers with the arrival of new cast members and threats.
